Connie Amelang, is dedicated to teaching women the safe and effective use of firearms in The Inland Empire and High Desert areas of Southern California. Seeing a need for firearms instruction for women and by women, Sisters of Caliber Women’s Firearms Training LLC was formed. There is a movement going on right now as women are joining the ranks of gun ownership in large numbers, the likes of which we have never seen! Sisters Of Caliber was created to help train this growing number of women shooters.
In 2013 I discovered a wonderful organization called ‘The Well Armed Woman’. Their main focus is to Educate-Equip-Empower women in the safe use of firearms. The founder, Carrie Lightfoot saw a need and filled it. I have been a shooter for many years but had never found an organization by women for women until I discovered TWAW.
Shooting has been a passion of mine for many years so it is fitting that I would want to assist other like-minded women. I hope that Sisters of Caliber can be a resource that women can count on whether it be shopping for their first gun, receiving training, or looking for equipment tailored to women. Sisters of Caliber was formed to help this growing number of women to keep themselves and their loved ones safe!
